2001 : The birth of BABA SIDI Herbs

The years of passion for Aromatic and Medicinal Plants awakened in Mr. Hakam Abdelmajid the sparks to found his own company which has since carried its current name « BABA SIDI Herbs » in homage to his grandfather.
From its inception, the company has been created in 2001, and oriented towards an export development strategy and this is how the first delivery was made to Europe.

  • Training in Germany of Mr. Hakam, on Business Management, as part of Business Exchange, enriched experience of Internships and visits to companies operating in the field of Herbs.
  • Selection of collectors and cultivators

  • Company support by experts from the UNDP Program

  • Development of our First factory and machine installation
  • New Investments in structures, technology and know-how

2014

2014 : New location, New factory

In a new location offering more amenities in line with the evolution of the company’s activities. « We have an ambitious goal of doubling our turnover by 2020, so this project is necessary to support the growth of company. In addition to increasing our production capacity, this investment will allow us to reduce our lead times, in order to best meet the most rigorous and strict requirements of our customers » Mr. HAKAM Abdelmajid – CEO & Founder

2017

2017: Investments and expansion

  • Strengthening of the company’s presence on the Asian market and start of exportation to the African market.
  • Investment in new equipment through the introduction of a new production line in order to optimize our workflows and maximize our production capacity.

2020

2020 : Getting Certified

  • Start of the BRC – British Retail Consortium certification project relating to food Safety.

  • Start of the ISO 9001 certification project – the most widely used management standard worldwide.

  • Redesign of the website to strengthen the visual identity of the company.
  • Participation in commercial events (Fairs and Exhibitions)
